Branding and logo design for Australian businesses

We design the logo, colours and type that make your business recognisable, then show how they work on a website, a shopfront, a van and a printed page. You finish with a brand your team can use without guesswork.

What it is

Branding

A brand is a set of choices applied the same way.

Branding is the visual identity of your business: the logo, the colours, the typefaces and the rules for using them. Done well, it makes every piece you put out look like it came from the same place.

We design the identity and test it on the things you will actually use, so you can see it on a screen, a sign and a printed page before you commit.

Questions

FAQ (06)

Branding, answered.

Something else you want to know? Send us an enquiry and we will answer it plainly.

(01)

What is the difference between a logo and a brand identity?

A logo is one part of an identity. A brand identity also covers colours, typefaces, the way images and layouts are used, and the rules for applying them, so the whole business looks consistent.

(02)

Can you refresh our existing logo instead of starting again?

Yes. We start by looking at what you have. If it can be tidied, simplified or made to reproduce properly, we will say so and scope a refresh rather than a full redesign.

(03)

What files do we receive?

Logo files in the formats used for web and print, your colour values for both, the typefaces used and the brand guide. The files are yours at handover.

(04)

How many logo concepts will we see?

We agree the number of directions and feedback rounds in the written scope. The aim is a small number of well developed options rather than a long list of rough ones.

(05)

Will the brand work on our website and printed material?

That is the point of designing it as one system. We test the identity on a website layout and a print piece during the process, and we supply print-ready files.

(06)

Do you also build the website and design the print?

Yes. Web design and print design are part of the same studio, so the identity carries straight through to the website, signage, labels and packaging.
